CIVIC CENTER FASHION SHOW WOWS AUDIENCE

By Maurice Taylor-EL. “It’s A Family affair” show held at the Muncie Community Civic Center, appears to have been a huge success. It was an occasion that will be talked about for a long time by those that attended. The entire fashion show was so dynamic that some people who were attending a Civic Center wedding down the hall from the show purchased tickers

after the wedding and joined the audience. The show started with young people in sports apparel and eventually graduated to adults. Many of the teams of models were family members: Mother and daughter; sister and brother; father and son; and even grandfather and grandson. The grandparent team stunned the audience on several occasions. One of the most appealing grandparent modeling teams

featured Odell Scott and his grandson, both dressed in three piece leather sports suits. After appearing several times in matching leather sports wear of different colors they reappeared in three piece leather dress suits with long coats. The audience applauded enthusiastically. The sister and brother p'-rformance was highlighted by. Belinda Castelow and her brother. She was dressed in an all

gold hat, dress and shoes. Her brother Nick Marshall, wore a dark long coat dress suit. Although the show moved along very smoothly Anthony Wakens Buddy Love seemed to walk on and off stage as if he was off cue. But was dressed immaculately each time, indifferent long coat suits and ties. The African community’s participation added an international flair to theshow. They exhibited

clothing from Benin, Liberia, Uganda, Kenya and the Congo. The clothing was all very practical for the climate in which it was intended to be worn. Many of the items of clothes would be well suited for many parts of this country. The African models were very good at displaying the clothing and were given a standing ovation.
