Jason Petersen, 24, salesperson I think we definitely should do something. It’s definitely needed that we overthrow Saddam. He gassed his own people. Who says he’s not going to do it here? I believe that he has the weapons of mass destruction and that he should be removed. We should go in there with a large task force and eliminate the problem.
Andy Minnick, 22, national guardsman I do not believe an all out war is necessary. But we do need to take as much action as possible to win the war against terrorism.
Brandie Johnson, 27, retail manager I think we should. We either have to pull out or go in there full throttle. But this should have been done a long time ago by Bush Sr., If Bush Sr. had closely monitored the situation then we wouldn’t have to be worrying about it now.
Joseph Townsend, 32, BSU Master’s degree student and retail manager No. I think at this moment it’s unjustified that a lot of innocent people start dying over some speculation of some future threat that is not clearly imminent. Why kill thousands of people for it? I suspect that we are playing into the hands
of people in the world who do not believe that U.S. foreign policy is genuine. That will increase the terrorist threat instead of decreasing it. If we are going to push out every regime that does not follow our dictates, then we’ll find ourselves in war all the time.
Brent Craycraft, 20, Ivy Tech State College student and part-time worker No. Bush is just doing something for his dad. he is just finishing off something that his dad started. The only reason we are going to war is the oil. We don’t need to do that. We should rather change our cars in such a way that we don’t need that oil. As for the terrorism excuse if we go to war it still won’t stop the terrorism because terrorism is not only linked to that country. It’s only an excuse.
Marlon Reese, 15, Muncie Central High School Student They shouldn’t. There is no point in going to war over something stupid.
v Pat Moses, grandmother, high school teacher I wish war could be avoided. However, there comes a time when our security is at risk and war may be necessary. If what we are hearing is true, we may be at that point.
