Staff position available immediately. Responsibilities: serve as assistant shift supervisor; perform functions related to the preservation of public peace and order, the prevention and detection of crime, the apprehension of offenders, the protection of persons and property, the enforcement of laws of the State of Indiana and the ordinances of the City of Muncie, the enforcement of rules and regulations of Ball State University, and the safeguarding of individual and collective rights of the citizenry; duties may include assignment as Residence Hall Security Coordinator or Parking Enforcement Coordinator. Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or GED and successful completion of Indiana Police Academy pre-basic training course and/or basic training course; over one year of law enforcement experience; must possess a valid Indiana Driver's License. Preferred qualifications: at least two years of successful college level course work and successfi.il completion of the Indiana Police Academy pre-basic training course; additional law enforcement experience related to a campus/university environment.
