J’son Duncan Daughtry, age 14, is an 8th grade student at Woodlawn Beach Middle School in Navarre, Florida. J’son has a 4.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. He has played soccer for 7 years and plans to be a member of the Navarre High School football team next season. J’son said his favorite family activity is traveling and eating out. In his spare time, J’son likes to watch T.V. And play video games. His favorite food: ribs. His role models are his parents, retired Major J.W. Daughtry and Glorietta MotleyDaughtry. The best advice J’son has ever received is that winning isn’t everything; attitude is. The advice J’son would like to pass on is “don’t do anything you may regret later.” J’son’s favorite subject in schools is science and he hopes to become a heart surgeon. His

favorite book is Harry Potter by J.K. Pawling. His favorite movie is “Spider Man.” J’son is a member of the Beta Club at Woodlawn Beach Middle School and has earned many awards such as: Certificate of Creative Writing, Perfect Attendance, Plaque for all As for 3 years of Middle School and the Presidential award (GPA of 90 percent or above). J’son is the grandson of Mr. And Mrs. Anthony Weddington of Charlotte, N.C. and Mr. Lonnie Motley Sr. of Muncie, Ind.

Heather ReAnn Ogle, age 18, is a graduate of Delta High School where she maintained a 4.9 GPA on a 6.0 scale. Her favorite subject in school was English. She was an active member of the Honor Society at Delta. She also participated in interpretive dance and ballet, one of her favorite past times. Heather has plans of attending Anderson University in the fall to study elementary education. She hopes to teach interpretive dance to children. She attends the First Church of

God in East Central Indiana where she is active in the youth group. In her spare time she likes to dance, play guitar and baby-sit. Heather said her favorite family activities are cookouts and “just hanging out with my family.” Her favorite food: pizza. The role models heather most admires are her parents. “They have worked really hard to take care of me and provide me a good life,” she said. “I don’t know what I would do without them.” The best advice she has received is not to let people look down on you because you’re young. Heather would like to pass on that same advice to all the young readers. Her favorite book is The Princess Bride, by Morgan Stern. Her favorite movie is also “The Princess Bride.” She is the daughter of Dennis and Dara Ogle.
