CODY FROM PAGE 1 be his last. “Already, others in the community have contacted me to say that they would like the Rev. Miller to preach at their church,” said Zietta McCallister. McCallister was the coordinator of the Trinity Church program. “I heard of Rev. Miller through an article that was published in the Star Press,” she said. “We experienced a truly great service with Rev. Miller. “Rev. Miller is a very anointed, very special and bright young man.” Cody lives in Indianapolis, where he’s the only child of Rosalyn and the Rev. Leon Harris. He is a second grader at Eastern Star School. Cody’s father, Charles Miller, is deceased.

He is a member of the Greater Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Church, headed by the Rev. Vance E. Wilson. Cody has been preaching for a year. In that time, he has preached in Anderson, Terre Haute, Ft. Wayne, Indianapolis and, now, Muncie. In a phone interview with The Muncie Times, Cody said he answered the call to preach after having a dream. He said God told him, “Cody, I want you to preach my word.” “I love God because He does everything for me.” His favorite scripture is “I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13). “I pray to seek the Lord on what He wants me to

preach.” Cody said his schedule i s challenging. “I usually spend an hour a day in prayer and Bible study, he said. There are so many places to preach.” “Cody, who was reading at age 3, has always been a bright and unusual child,” said his school teacher mother. “He’s active, sometimes mischievous and he loves sports and video games.” “Though I recognize that he is anointed by God to preach the word, I want him to have

balance. I want him to enjoy his childhood.” Although his schoolmates know that he is a preacher, Cody said they respect what he does, but still have fun. Cody said he is looking forward to going

Christmas shopping with his family. He hopes to get a scooter, roller skates and action figures. Asked if he had a message for Muncie Times readers this Christmas, Cody, said “Keep Jesus in it.”
