OBITUARIES
Rachelle Thomas Rachelle Thomas, 43, died Saturday, January 29, 2000 at University Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana after a brief illness. ‘ Miss Thomas was born in Muncie, Indiana. She was employed at M&M Bus Company as a bus driver and also at Advantage Home Health Qare as a nurse for two years. She was a member of Seven Fold Agape Church. Miss Thomas graduated from Southside High School in 1975 and obtained her degree in nursing from Indiana Vocational Technical College. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, James D. Thomas, Anderson; one daughter, Solreah M. Debouse, Muncie; her mother, Vera Thomas, Muncie; two brothers, Frank E. Thomas, Jr. (wife: Rachelle), Muncie, William L. Thomas, Muncie; three, Edith F. Thomas, Pontiac, Michigan, Stephanie J. Grumes, Muncie, Nekoda D. Thomas, Muncie; three special friends, Mary Hughes, Charlotte Stewart, Ann Laura Hardy, all of Muncie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carshia Thomas, and her father, Frank E. Thomas, Sr. Arrangements entrusted to Gholar and Gholar Funeral Service. Florine Reed Florine Reed, 94 died Thursday, January 27, 2000 at Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Reed was born in Terrellton, Oklahoma. She has a degree from Divinity School. She was a former Bishop Non-denomination.Church of Christ, Boston, Massachusetts. She came to Muncie two and a half years ago from Boston. Mrs. Reed attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was a retired Bishop. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Gloria Clark, Muncie; one grandson, Clifford Penny (wife: Christine); four great grandsons, Clifford Mason, Walter Smith, Eugene Penny, Joseph Penny; two great-great granddaughters, Breanna Smith, Makayla Smith and many special friends. Arrangements entrusted to Gholar and Gholar Funeral Services.

Jeffery L. Garrett, 43, died January 29, at home. He was a lifelong resident of Muncie and attended Muncie Central High School. He attended Union Baptist Church and worked for Kammer Bottle Water Company. Survivors include: his mother, Luella Garrett, Muncie; two brothers, Hubert Jr. (wife: Rose), Authur Garrett, both of Muncie; two sisters; Shelia Shively, Muncie, Daisy Borel (husband: John), Indianapolis, a special niece, Stephanie Shively, Muncie. a special uncle, Tony Garrett, Evansville; and a special aunt, Viola Ellis, Chicago.
