Teachers invited to energy workshop in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS—Fifty teachers from grades one through YT are invited to participate in a Science of Energy Teacher training Workshop sponsored by the Indiana Propane Gas Association. The free workshop will be held on Jan. 16th at the Indiana Energy Training Facility located at 1845 W. 16th St. Indianapolis. It will run from 10:00 a.m. through 4 p.m. It will include lunch, which will also be provided by the Indiana Propane Gas Association. In case of bad weather, the rain date is Jan. 23. This day long event is being presented in conjunction with the Partners in Energy program. The workshop will feature a variety of

curriculum materials, games, projects and energy related information to take back and utilize in science classes. Most of the broad based, unbiased energy materials and information presented will be from the National Energy Education Development (NEED) project. Teachers attending this one-day training will find it both fun and most helpful in your classrooms. The 50 seats will be available on a first come first served basis.
