their home on East First street, honoring their sisters, Mrs. Sylvester Ina of Los Angeles and Mrs. Samuel Goesns of Springfield. On Tuesday afternoon they were honored at a luncheon at the home of Mrs. Widsor Clemens on East Butler street. A rummage and bake

Grant of Gary. The Senior choir of the Bethel A.M.E. Church will present Mrs. Viola Glenn in a recital on Sunday afternoon June 4, at 3 o’clock at the Bethel A.M.E. Church. TheM. W. P. Club will give a fish fry Saturday at the home of Mrs. Emily Mukes on North Penn street. The Anna Washington Chorus will present a program Sunday afternoon at the Shaffer Chapel A.M.E. Church for the Improvement Club. The Silver Leaf Club will hold a bake and apron sale Saturday morning starting at 11 o’clock in the basement of the Bethel A.M.E. Church. A rummage and bake sale will be held Saturday morning at 8 o’clock in the basement of the Shaffer Chapel A.M.E. Church. Mothers of World War II, unit 54, gave a hat social Friday evening at the Munseyana Community Center. Proceeds from the social were used to purchase two metal lawn chairs for the veterans hospital in Marion.
