Mary B. Connell
Mary B. Connell, 77 died Thursday, April 24 in Ball Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was bom in Dyersburg, Tennessee and later relocated to Muncie where she spent the last 49 years. She was employed at Value City Furniture and retired after 15 years of employment She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Senior Choir, The United Methodist Women’s Society, Pastor Parish Relations Committee and
Bible Class.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Robert Connell, Muncie, and Michael Connell; one daughter, Winifred Connell, Indianapolis; one brother-in-law, Connie Connell, Muncie, a special friend, Lydia Jones, Muncie; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Connell, her parents James Pope and Edna Flye, two sons, Charles Jones, Paul Jones and one daughter, Mary Edna Hall. Gholar-Gholar Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

INDIANAPOLIS—Robert T. Hall has joined the Indiana Department of Commerce as a project manager for the Business Development Divisioa His office is responsible for economic development projects undertaken by existing companies in northern Indiana. Prior to his arrival at Commerce, Hall was a co-founder of the Heritage Group, an insurance and investment firm in Downers Grove, Hall is a 1991 graduate of Depauw University in Greecastle, Ind. He has a bachelor’s degree in English literature.
Margaret Marie Wilkins-Hayden
Margaret Marie Williams-Hayden was bom October 31,1926; to the union of Dallas Wilkins (deceased) and Sula M. Nance-Wilkins in
Humboldt, Tennessee.
She was united with the Morning Star Baptist Church in Humboldt at an early age. She graduated from Stigall High School in Humboldt, Tennessee and attended Lane
College in Jackson, Tennessee.
She married William Edward Hess and to this union two children were bom. After leaving
Humboldt, she lived in Muncie, Indiana for more than 40 years. There she married Robert Andrew Hayden and to this union one child was bom. She leaves to mourn her passing, her mother, Mrs. Sula M. Nance-Ellison of Humboldt, Tennessee; one daughter, Mrs. Gwendolyn A. Hess-Pattterson (husband, Freddie) of Humboldt, Tennessee; two sons, Robert A. Hayden, Jr. (wife, Jennifer) of Muncie, Mr. William M. Hess (wife, Shelia) of Memphis, Tennessee; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many friends and
relatives.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Private James Marion Wilkins, U.S.M.C. (killed on Iwo Jima during World War II) Gholar-Gholar Funeral Home in charge of arrangement
