Gail Devers story coming to home video

The true story of Gail Devers (played by Charlayne Woodard-pictured), depicts faith and courage.

In celebration of Black History Month in February, Evergreen Entertainment will release '"Run for the Dream: The Gail Devers Story” on home video, in stores across the nation on Feb. 18th. They said she would never

walk again, but Gail Devers ran on to capture Olympic gold — and the world’s heart -- at the Barcelona Games and again in Atlanta 4 years later. In a Dec. 6 ceremony, she became the first woman to receive the Jesse Owens Award

for the most valuable athlete from the U.S. Track & Field association. Now the true stoiy of this world champion track star’s triumph over tragedy is recreated in an uplifting tribute to the power of faith and the courage of champions.

“Classy performances make this a standout, “ said People magazine about Academy Award winner Louis Gossett, Jr. (An Officer and a Gentleman”, 1982) as worldclass coach Bob Kersee and Charlayne Woodard (“Buffalo Girls”) as the Olympic contender whose future is shattered when she’s diagnosed with a crippling disease, coming within just 2 days of having her

feet amputated. How Devers regains her ability to walk, then run to become the “fastest woman on earth” just 18 months later is one of the greatest comeback stories in the history of sports and an extraordinary inspiration for anyone who has ever dared to dream. As a special added bonus, included on the cassette are personal interviews with Devers and Kersee.

Louis Gossett, Jr. stars in story that took Gail Devers from wheelchair to beocme the “fastest woman on earth.”

Grand Jury communicates another positive verdict— Michael Concepcion (far/back center), foreman of Grand Jury Entertainment and his crew, creates another masterful musical project which includes the hot new group “Operation Big Shots,” (pictured around the table) entitled Phuture Flava Vol I. Phuture Flava Vol. I is a compilation of rap, hip-hop, R&B and soulful ballads recorded by young adults, and kids that Grand Jury Productions nurtured and groomed. Phuture Flava Vol. I will be store in January, 1997.
