Gas City Historical Society "Tour of Homes" October 6 • 1 to 5 p.m. Tour begins at the Gas City Fire Station, 100 South Third Street, Gas City, Indiana. Tour 5 homes that are either unique in architectural design or decorating. Admission is $6.00 each with proceeds going toward the remodeling of the Historical Society's museum.

Judge Hines knows that politics has no place in the court system, and people deserve to be treated with respect no matter what their circumstances. She eliminated political campaigning in her courtroom and refuses to accept campaign contributions from lawyers practicing in Delaware County. She has ensured that the hiring of new employees in Superior Court 3 is fair and open to persons of all races. Judge Hines has been committed to the welfare of our community throughout her professional life. She is a life member of the NAACP and received the 1995 Presidents Award from the Muncie Chapter. Judge Hines is scholarship chair of Black Expo and in 1996 received the Muncie Black Expo Community Service Award. She is a member of the Indiana Bar Legal Ethics Committee, Muncie Kiwanis, and Altrusa Club. Judge Hines is a former president of Open Door Community Services and a past director of Cambridge House and Alpha Center.
