being offered this year offers something for everybody, from the sports to the entertainment, children’s activities to clothing, art, jewelry and exotic cuisine. The only ingredient missing from this mix is people. This will be the fourth annual Summer Soul Fest. Muncie Black Expo has patterned its program after similar ones in Indianapolis, Anderson and other Hoosier cities. The Anderson event attracts hundreds of people. The Indianapolis Summer Soul Fest, organized each July by the statewide Indiana Black Expo (IBE) is billed as the largest African American event in Indiana and in the United States. That is quite an honor. Summer Soul Fest attracts people from all over Indianapolis, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky and from all over the United States. People come from everywhere because the IBE Summer Soul Fest offers them something. Regardless of their preferences, from music to boxing, vendors to food, job and health fairs to athletic stars, the Summer Soul Fest offers it. There are also intangible events, such as the educational programs, opportunities to leam about college
