by Judy Mays Feed the Children, which seeks to assist families, seniors and helps replenish food banks in Muncie, expects to distribute food on Dec. 16. If all goes well, 35,000 pounds of food will be given out on that date at a corner just south of the Madison Community Center. The project is being sponsored by Love Production Ministries.
An appreciation celebration for Pastor Shirley Maynard will be held at 6:30 pm on Dec. 9 at 415 W. LaSalle, South Bend, Ind. Those who cannot attend but want to send a gift or an offering of love should contact Sister Linda Benford at 288-8471, or Sister Diane Benford at 282-3516.

Former Muncie basketballer to play in Indianapolis
On Dec. 16, Purdue University will be taking on Texas Christian University in Indianapolis at Market Square Arena. Juan Bragg, son of John and Vicki (Spence) Bragg will be playing for the Texas Christian University Homed Frogs. Bragg began his career at TCU after playing for Eastern Hills High school in Fort Worth, TX, where he was named player of the year during his
senior year.
As a freshman for the Homed Frogs, Bragg was selected freshman of the year in the Southwestern conference and also received newcomer of the year for the SWC. He led the SWC in free throw percentage last season. Bragg and former teammate Kurt Thomas, who now plays for the Miami Heat, led the Homed Frogs to a 16-10 season last year. The Bragg family, John, Vicki, Jada and Juan moved to the Fort Worth area from Muncie 11 years ago. John is the director of the Housing Authority in Dallas. He is the son of Juanita Bragg of Muncie. Vicki is the daughter of Charles and Gertrude Spence and is an account executive for Empire Financial Services
in Fort Worth.
