Marshall, Green exchange wedding vows in South Bend
by Judy Mays Kyle Marshall, formerly of Muncie, and Angela Green were recently married at a ceremony by the Rev. Billy Kirk of South Bend, Ind. A profusion of white lilies, daisies, gladiolus and
black street-length dresses draped with purple, gold, and black stoles. The groomsmen wore two-piece tunic ensembles of purple, black and gold. Maid of honor was Tasha Phelps, a friend of the bride. Best man was
was Patricia Bailey. Musical selections were by Ceraylan Blakely, minister of music for the Third Ecclesiastical District of the Church of God in Christ, and Willette Blakely, Gregg Luckett, and Chris Ford and the Ft. Wayne Youth Ensemble, accompanied by Randall “Fats” Blakely. About 400 guests were received at the reception. The couple took a honeymoon cruise to Key West, Fla., Cancun, and Cozumel, Mexico. Marshall is an engineer associate for the Toledo Scales Corp. in Aurora, 111. The new Mrs. Marshall is a civii engineer major at Purdue University. The couple will reside in Lombard, 111. ❖

The color scheme of purple, gold, black and white was chosen by designer Lisa Buggs of Indianapolis to adorn the bride, bridegroom, and bridal party in beautifully tailored Afrocentric attire. The bride's two-piece white ensemble featured a purple, gold, and black V-shaped bodice with gold tassel, accentuated by a matching crown headdress. The bridegroom’s ensemble matched that of the bride. The wedding party were Gina Allen, Cynthia Barnes, Leontyne Hill, Lesia Marshall and Ramona Phelps. The bride and bridegroom presented a bouquet of white roses and baby breath to the mother of the bride, Sharon Coffey, and to her father, Jerry and stepmother, Maudie Green, and paternal grandmother, C. Green. The parents of the bridegroom, Walter and Lillie Marshall, received another bouquet. Flower girls were Ebony Holmes and Carolyn Green. Ringbearer was Jermaine L. Marshall. Candlelightersaisle runners were Quintin Garrison and Eric L. Marshall. Ushers were Brian Blackman, Brian Gooden, Travis Langster, Greg Oliver, and Darius Wright.
