Martha Adams Mite Missionary Society will give a Rose program Sunday evening, June 30, at Bethel A.M.E. Church. A report from the missionary convention will be made by Mrs. Ethel Henry. Following is the program: Paper, Mrs. Adelaide Turner: song, “In the Garden”: instrumental solo. Miss Geneva Henry: solo, Miss Juanita Bass: paper, “Why We Have Flower Missions,” Mrs. Lenna Hearold. A chicken supper will be served Saturday evening at the Shaffer Chapel annex by Mrs. Cora Williams rally club. A trustee’s rally will be held at Shaffer's Chapel A.M.E. Church Sunday. The Four Leaf Clover Club will give a lawn fete this evening at the home of Mrs. Hazel Hansard on Russey Street. The wedding of Mrs. Julia Robbins, of Indianapolis, and Prof. J. Wesley Jones was solemnized, Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Lewis on East Jackson Street. The single ring ceremony was read by the Rev. H.T. Stoner. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Lillian Graham who will spend a few days here before motoring to Cleveland to be the quest of her aunts, Mrs. Anna Wills and Mrs. Mary Moss. Mrs. Walter Brown has returned home after spending five weeks in Detroit where she was called on the account of the serious illness of her son, Carl Smith. The Magic City Pleasure Club met Tuesday evening at the home of mrs. Mary Young on South Monroe Street, and elected the following officers: President, Mrs. Mary Young; first vice-president, Mrs. Florence Bolden; second vice-president, Mrs. Flora Johnson; secretary, Mrs. Ardella Stonestreet; treasurer, Mrs. Cornelius Majors. The next meeting will be held Tuesday evening with Mrs. Florence

Bolden, 510 East Second Street. The S.S. Club will meet Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Pauline Stafford on Highland Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Cooper entertained Thursday evening with a party at their home, 1808 Highland Avenue, in honor of the birthday anniversary of frank Cooper.
