Burris offers summer programs Muncie—Burris Laboratory School is offering two summer programs for area children. • “Step Up to Kindergarten” is designed to build children’s self-esteem and to develop self-confidence before entering kindergarten. Activities include computer work, letter recognition, math, language skills, art, science, problemsolving and creative thinking. • “Fit for First” is for students just completing kindergarten. It is designed to enrich the regular kindergarten year, prevent students from forgetting recent classroom work and alleviate summer boredom. Classes run from June 6 to July 1. Registration deadline is June 3. Class size is limited to 20 students. Cost is $100 per class. Fit for First classes meet from- 9 to 11 a.m. and Step Up classes from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. * .
