WARD YOUNG Trustee of Monroe Township CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SERVICES “I^ove” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, August 4. The Golden Text was: “Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you” (II Corinthians 13:11). Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: “For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be” (Ezekiel 34:11, 12, 14). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need. . . . The miracle of grace is no miracle to Love” (p. 494). “Trials are proofs of God’s care. . . . Each successive stage of experience unfolds new views of divine goodness and love” (u. 661.
