Notice Of Improvement Resolution Notice To Property Owners * In the matter of Certain Proposed Public Improvements in the City of Muncie, State of Indiana Notice is hereby given by the Board of Public Works of the City of Muncie Indiana, that it is desired and deemed necessary to make the following described public improvements for the City of Muncie, Indiana, as authorized by the following numbered improvement resolutions, adopted by said Board, on the 3rd day of April 1946 to-wit: I. R. 912 - 1946 - Sanitary Sewer in South Elm Street from Ninteenth Street to Twentieth Street. I. R. 913 - 1946 - Sanitary Sewer in the alley between Seventeenth and Eighteenth Streets from Birch Street to Sampson Avenue. I. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SERVICES “Unreality” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, April 7. The Golden Text was: “There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches” (Proverbs 13:7). Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: “And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full” (Matthew 14:19, 20). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passage from, the Christian Science textbook,“Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “The earth, at God’s command, brings forth food for man’s use. Knowing this, Jesus once said, ‘Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink,’—presuming not on the prerogative of his freator, but recognizing God, the Father and Mother of all, as able to feed and clothe man as He doth the lilies” (p. 530).
