New York, Dec. 17.—A group of distinguished veterans representing the British Empire Service League
In his talk, Dr. Day said: "There are now in the United States, arare some people so ignorant they |riving on the S. S. Majestic Dec. 3, still blieve Noah crowded two of;for the purpose of arranging closer

Dr. Day, who is 27 years old, received his Ph. D. degree from Leland Stanford university in 1928. He also holds an A. B. degree from Lawrence university. His home is at Lake Geneva, Wis. CRIMINAL TESTS BY STATE URGED
Massachusetts Expert Tells Indiana Board of System In the East.
Indianapolis, Dec. 17.—Very few murderers and other criminals, for whom insanity defenses often are attempted, have been found actually insane under Massachusetts’ system t>f state examinations. This assertion was made by Dr. George M. Kline, commissioner of the Massachusetts department of mental diseases, at a luncheon meeting of the Indiana state crime commisson in the Claypool hotel yesterday. The commission’s meeting was held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Indiana Society for Mental Hygiene. Members of the commission attended ses_ sion of the society. Janies A. VanOsdel of Anderson commission chairmari, urged that subcommittees named at a recent meeting in Michigan City complete their organization and carry on their work as rapidly as possible. Next Meeting January 25. Preliminary reports are expected to he heard at the next meeting of the whole group, January 25. At that time it is planned to invite representative heads of various state groups interested in civic welfare to confer with the commission on plans for a state-wide campaign of information on the crime problem and ways ftf meeting it.
