Buck was shot back of the left ear as he sat in his kitchen. The assailant fired through a window. Police launched a search for Phillips because of recent complaint made by Buck to Chief of Police Eversman that Phillips was too friendly with Buck’s wife. Phillips yesterday gave his money to his mother and his clothing to friends, telling them he intended to leave the city. Police today had no clew

to his whereabouts.

This girl knows the science of foods, hence knows a number of sound, sensible reasons for buying and serving the New Milk Macaroni. She will tell you it cooks in five to eight minutes, that it is low in cost as compared with other good foods, that it can be served in fifty ways that tempt tne appetite. But this, she knows to be the all important fact: A ll macaroni—save one—is made with zvater. That one is the New Milk Macaroni—a vitalized/ooJ containing the most important nutritional elements found in eggs, meats, nuts and whole wheat. Other macaroni, good as it is, lacks these vital elements. Because the New Milk Macaroni is vitalized, you can feel the difference. When you ask your grocer for the N v Milk Macaroni, look for the Quaker on the yellow wrapper. This better food costs less than two pennies the portion. The Quaker Qals (£mpany L — % OX. ^
