Tigers To Host State Swimmers DePauw University's varsit> swimmers plunge into water warfare here tomorrow hosting Indiana State at 2 p.m. in the Bowman Gymnasium pool. The meet, featuring four returning Tiger lettermen. will bo the first of nine dual affairs sc heduled for coach Charley Erdmann's squad this winter. Other home opposition will come from Berea College (Jan. 11), Albion (Feb. 15). Valparaiso (Feb. 27), and Evansville <Feh. 2P.) On the road DePauw will — Denison. Miami of Ohio, Eastern Illinois and Ball State. All home meets are free and open to the general public. League To Hear Prosecuting Attorney The public is invited to join the League of Women Voters Tuesday morning in hearing Prosecuting Attorney James Houck discuss court procedures for juveniles in Putnam County. The meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Charterhouse. Locust and Seminary Streets. The local study item committee, currently studying the local juvenile situation, has arranged the program. The committee is composed of Mrs. Frank McKenna, chairman; Mrs. J. P. Allen; Mrs. Lloyd Chadd; Mrs. Ernest Collins: Mrs. Charles Erdmann: Mrs. Hugh Henry: Mrs. Clifton Phillips; Mrs. Fred Silander, Mrs. Dan Smith, Mrs. Lawrence Goodhue, and Mrs. John Wilson. The committee urges interested townspeople to attend what promises to be an informative and worth-while discussion. Coffee will be served by Mrs. Sam Kirk and the Membership Committee. A baby-sitter will be provided without charge.
ALL K E1 * It KS F.N TED All of the 31 Home Demonstration Clubs were represented at the recent Officer Training meeting which was held in the Community Building at the Fair grounds. Mrs. Chester Haltom, the newly installed county president presided over the meeting. Following general announcements for the 19t>4 program, the officers were divided into their representative groups. Mrs. Ivan Harbison and Mrs. Robert Stallcop were in charge of the club presidents. Mrs. Chester Haltom and Mis. Dottie Buechler had charge of the vice-president section. The secretary-treasurers were in change of Mrs. Cieo Arnold and Mrs. Kelsie Warne. Mrs Katharine Benner, County Extension Agent in Home Economics discussed briefly reports thut must be sent to the county office and w hat the office secretary needs to know for the permanent records. Mrs. James C. Hunter of Fillmore announces the engagement of her daughter, and of the late Mr. Hunter. Anne Irene to Pvt. Walter Lee Fisher, s o n of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde T. Fisher of Stilesville. Miss Hunter is a graduate of Fillmore H. S. Class of 1963 and is now employed in Greencastle. Pvt. Fisher graduated with the 1963 class of Stilesville High School and is now serving with the U.S. Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif. A June wedding is planned.
