WESTINGHOUSE licks old Center-Post Agitator Problem! THE LAUNDROMAT NEW WAY TO WASH The old-fashioned Center-Post agitator washes with a jerk-jerk motion. Clothes in the center (harsh action zone) get rough treatment; clothes in the lazy outside zone hardly move. Westinghouse removed the Center-Post entirely . . . put smooth agitators at the inside of the wash basket. As the basket revolves, these agitators wash the clothes by lifting, turning, hushing through sudsy water 50 times a minute. Every piece is washed aJ/ the time, thoroughly, equally well.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hillis have a most persistent squirrel at their home on Poplar street. Mr. Hillis reports that the squirrel has gnawed through their back screen door on two occasions to get to some walnuts that had been left on the porch. He said they watched the squirrel bury the nuts in the back yard. However, after patching the sci'een ; for the second time, Mr. Hillis has moved the walnuts and hopes Air. Squirrel will not bother the

back door again.

Alayor Evan Crawley told us yesterday that he had been receiving numerous complaints regarding weeds on va-cant lots and in yards of unoccupied residences.

The Alayor says the street force will cut the weeds and that cost of the work will be added to the property owners tax assessment at the office of the county treasurer.

FISHIN' FUN!

Earl Ross seems to be the Bluegill fisherman of the week. He and his wife caught several at Cataract Lake and after throwing several small ones back they brought home 30 of the largest ones. Earl says that they had a busy time of it for about 2 hours with the Bluegills. Then the Carp started to bite and they caught some of them. They also caught some small catfish. Earl says that there is sure good fishing in Cataract Lake. He is now going to try for some of the larger Catfish. He purchased a can of Lazy Ike Catfish bait and says we will hear from him about the Catfish later. DOBBS TIRE AND BATTERY SERVICE Fishing Tackle & Accessories North Side of Square

A good picture of the interior of the old Star Barber Shop, back in 1907, is on display at Alaynard Johnson’s tonsorial emporium. In che picture are Ernest Wright, who was the proprietor at the time; Harry Hays, one of the barbers, and Adam Wagner, who was the porter. The shop, fifty years ago, was located one doo: east of the past office on Washington street.

And mention of the local post office when it was on Washington street brings back a good many names and memories to Harry Aloore, veteran Greencastle merchant and former county

clerk.

He recalled a number of employes and postmasters who will be well remembered by older residents. This group included Willis Neff, George Neff, Duff Neff, Bill Irvin, L. P. Chapin, us Chapin, Hannah Chapin, 3r John G. Dunbar, Park

“Sure, I want a personal accident policy,” Milt said, then added jokingly, “but I think I'll wait and get one free with the next new car I buy.” “Speaking of that,” I replied, "one of the two auto manufacturers which was offering a paid up accident polity has already withdrawn the

offer. In many states, such p r o p o s a Is have been declared illegal for a variety of good reasons. One of the best being, that a policyholder might be lulled into a false sense of security in

the belief that he had a broad personal accident policy rather than a limited type of

coverage death.''
