Mrs. Marjorie Oliver entertained the Stitch and Chatter Club Wednesday afternoon. Roll call was bloom Chaser. Entertainment furnished by Miss Avis Knetzer. The hostess served dainty refreshments. Mrs. Kathleen Day was hostess to the W. S. C. S. meeting Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Ethel Martin led the devotions and Miss Mary Burks gave the lesson very j capably. The “Week of Prayer j and Self Denial” program was I led by Mrs. Berenice Smith, with I voluntary prayers given by sevI eral women for the different I phases and needs of our many missionary projects. The wom•n who had attended the district meeting at Brazil gave interest-

ing reports. The hostess served delicious refreshments. Thirteen members and four children were present. Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Coffey arrived home Wednesday from :• several weeks business trip in the Southeastern states. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hero ■ called Sunday on Ralph Browning and Mrs. Hallie Sutherlin near Russellville. Miss Kate Oliver spent ti.e week end at home. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Phillin.and daughter were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Amo-; Hunter. The Willing Workers Hal lowe’en party was very successful. Twenty-one were present All masked very originally except three. The hostesses, Mrs. Kay Sutherlin and Mrs. FranceMcGinnis had decorated the Recreation building with fodder corn, pine cones, fall leaves pumpkins. They served do-nut;-and coffee. Rebekah Lodge No. 652 met Tuesday night, with good attend ance. Mrs. Delmas Ramsey am Mrs. Daisy Williamson delegate; to the Rebekah Assembly, gave reports of the meeting.
