Town Board Soys This (Continued from Page 1) 15, to discuss the distribution of tax money the town will receive from the state’s gasoline tax. Mr. Jackson reported that 75% of the distributed tax money Speedway receives from this tax must be spent on road construction. Speedway’s newly proposed smoke abatement ordinance No. 333 is nearing finalization. Town Clerk, Ray Oeth, reported that he contacted a possible violator in the Speedway Shopping Cento: from which the black soot-filled smoke arises during the evening hours. Mr. Oeth pointed out, however, that he is still receiving complaints that the black smoke has not folly abated. The board approved Mr. Oeth’s request to rent a Xeros duplicating machine, on a trial basis, for $46 per month. A special meeting was set for June 29, 1964 to formulate next year’s town budget. wood Dr. Ad amount of $1,945.18 was directed to be payed to G. A Piping Company for a 1963 water main extension. The board allowed Meadowood contractor, Fred Falender, to hook-up his newly constructed constructed housing development west of 1-465 to Speedway’s 18” northwest sewer which runs parallel to High School Road. Mr. Falender’s request had been previously delayed because there was speculation whether or not the 18” sanitary sewer could adequately accommodate his housing development.
