GIRL SCOUT NEWS Girl Scout Troop 433 held its first meeting of the new year at the home of our new leader, Mrs. James Walker. We drew for our officers with Jeanne Philips as troop treasurer and Connie Lee as troop scribe. We also drew for our patrols for the year. Patrol 1 has Julie Gaddis, leader; Phyllis DeMass, assistant leader; Linda Kirkchoff, treasurer; Kay Lawler, Jeanne Philips, and Laurie Frampton with Mrs. Walker as advisor. Troop 2 has Christy Swisher, leader; Vicki Kelly, assistant leader; Linda Wilkerson, treasurer; Robyn Cassiday, Ann Walker, Kathy Sullivan, Debbie Ordel with Mrs. Lawler as advisor. Troop 3 has Barbara Perin as leader; Christy Morris as assistant leader; Sarah Hutchens as treasurer; Connie Lee, Karen Chaleff, Ann Hendrickson with Mrs. Frampton as advisor. We surprised Mrs. Lawler with a birthday cake, it being her birthday that day. We had a day hike at. Dellwood Sat., Oct. 14, despite the inclement weather. A good time was had by all of us while we were working on our nature badge. We give our thanks to Mrs. John Lee and Mrs. Joe Kirkchoff for helping us that day and for our transportation to Dellwood.

Brownie Troop 108, under the leadership of Mrs. Pauline Jacobs, enjoyed a tour of the Davis Orchard last week. The tour was ended with a wiener roast.
On October 25th the troop will have their Halloween party at the home of Mrs. Tressie Simpson, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Troop 427 met Oct. 4 for their first Girl Scout meeting. They chose the following officers: president, Janie Ward; vice president, Linda Whipple; secretary, Mary Beth Blind; publicity, Carol Winings; treasurer, Marilyn Periord; Asst. Treasurer, Kathy Conkle; devotions, Nancy Schownewey; historian, Loretta Rodick, for the rest of the year. They also had their 3rd year birthday party. Oct. 11 was their second meeting.
