Red Cress Amewaees Commamity Leadership Floyd Bass (New Augusta, Indiana), the Red Cross-Civil Defense general chairman for emergency welfare district number ten, has announced his up-to-date list of volunteer staff for district ten, and for the district’s medical treatment stations. To carry out Red .Cross-Civil Defense functions (mass care) in each district and around each medical treatment station, the local Red Cross has appointed volunteer leadership. Five other Indianapolis high school students were awarded prizes by the Indianapolis Junior Chamber of Commerce on the basis of their entries in the eighth annual local contest. Ronnie Smith, Shortridge High School, as second place winner, was awarded a Regency radio, donated by 1.D.E.A., Inc. Third place winner, Karl Sopke of Southport high school, was awarded a Philco radio given by Philco Radio equipment Company. Other winners and their awards: Roselyn Greene, Arsenal Technical High School, Zenith radio, donated by Rodefeld Company; Robert Doyle, Howe High School, Admiral radio given by Capital Paper Company; and Merrilene Surber, Washington High School, Musical Chef radio donated by Griffith Distributing Company. Judging the finals of the Indianapolis contest were John Fraim of WISH-TV, James Shelton of WIBC, Fred Odeit of the Indianapolis News, and Dr. Nathan M.
