A poor s-ore is never played by :. perfectly well polfer. 1'orty players took part in the Labor day tournament some bunch. Considering that several had venued to Chain-O'-Lakra in the Valley championship we have a regular club. Kramer sez, he did not see why anyone should pilfer that golf cup away from the club hous? as Ion, as he was living there. Tupner is the big champ with the fold medal. All ye Kolfers give attention. The Valley championship will be played off on the Miami links Thursday af-rt-rnoon between St. Joseph ami (Jos hen. The losers will entertaS th' winners at dinner at the club house. Come out to ? the Käme and stay for lunch, and incidentally take part in the tire works after the regular Käme, so called. a Kvcrybody went to Wawasee yesterday to play the Squirrel Shooters out in their own woods, right out in the open. ' It was (Joshen's turn to entertain. and it was. voted a success witflout any reservations or amendments. Dr. Purnett is glad his vacation is over. Ho sez. you have to play around the Winona links four times to pet as much golf as one gets at the

Miami course by playing1 around once, and besides Kolf is not golf unless you are playing with the right bunch. Ahara expects to be at home this next Thursday afternoon at the Miami club to all Mishawaka players, when he will serve something from the coffee urn won in the Championship Consolation. Come out and reflect credit on the hospitality of the Miami club by bein in the gallery Thursday, and see K. 15. Kelly and Davidson play it all over again. Lamerelle won the Magazine cup by playing a splendid brand of golf, and was also runner up in class A, at South Iiend.

Henry K. Macgee and (irace Crothers were married at the Methodist parsonage last night by Dr. P. K. Parker. The brid" and groom were dressed in the conventional bridal costumes, the former wearing the proverbial veil About 400 of their friends congregated In front of the parsonage awaiting the couple's exit, when one of the noisiest demonstrations ever accorded a newly-wed couple was staged. The pair was hustled into an automobile and driven through the crowded streets followed by a procession of vehicles of the most nondescript description imaginable, and to the accompaniment of cow bells and other heart rending "instruments." The procession created much amusement. The rice used after the ceremony would have been sufficient to have fed almost 100 Chinamen.
