Washington. Both the president and Mrs. Wilson had seen motion pictures before, but never in a theater. Hitherto they had seen photo-plays either at the white house or at private entertainments. They selected "A Daughter of the Hods" as their entertainment for their first wedding anniversary. The president was greatly pleased with the picture. He thanked Manager Taylor of the Helasco personally and said that "A Daughter of the Gods' was a wonderful Ulm.

As an added attraction for Washington's birthday a picture called "George Washington Under the American Flag," has been booked. Tomorrow Mary Miles Minter will appear in "The Gentle Intruder" in which she plays the part of a young heiress. Ralph Hera in a comedy and a Metro truvelogue are also on tomorrow's hill.

The new bill of vaudeville starting at the Orpheum theater today features a domestic comedy entitled, "Petticoats", presented by Kenneth Iianc, June Janin and two other attractive girls. The plot concerns a wager made by one of the girls tlrat she can bring the hero to her feet and make him propose. The complications that ensue are extremely humorous. Dorothy Brenner, an attractive singer, who has played the Orpheum recently in "The Candy Booth", comes back with a number of original songs which she sings in a pleasing manner. The three Lyres, originators of tinkling tunes to amuse the tired theatergoer, present their newest offering deluxe. The Cycling McXutts. a family of five, who perform on bicycles, and Work and Ower, acrobats, make up the program.
