Freddie Pence and Eddie Boehm, parts of the outfit which travels under the heading of Muncie polo team, were among those present. Boehm records, officially, the stops Freddie makes in the Campbell auditorium games. . . As a bowler, Pence makes a -still better goal tender. Doc Gentle broke away with the high mark a 228. His other attempts, however, need not be mentioned. It would detract somewhat. For consistency. Art King, was present. A 175-213-190 set gave the Richmond lght a net average of 193. Five representative pin knights who migrated over from Muncie late yesterday to match their skill against the bowling ability of a picked batch of Richmond association talent were sadly disappointed in the showing taken back to Muncle on this morning's C. & O. Oswald,, even New Castle with its winning team, is infested with a certain set of knockers. All of which goes to prove the worthiness of the old proverb to the effect: There's always a flea in the soup some where. No doubt the result at New Castle last night was gratifying to Barney Doherty. The old timer always did contend the Quakers missed their chance when they failed to sign him in a trade for Bob Griffith. No denying the Quakers are in a rut. Better substitute ravine for that word rut, its more appropriate. Nat Siegle, sage of the Quaker fan colony, is inhuman enough to suggest that they send the Eagle team to Muncie tonight and allow the Regulars to remain home and rest up a bit. Siegle also wants to know if the Richmond team members, playing polo every night as it were, ever get to attend the movies or go to church.
