Wildcats prepare a tribute to the power of one

By Amy Wenger Advance Correspondent WAKARUSA tradition that coincides perfectly with the approach of spring, a season of beauty and glory which lends itself to the celebration of artistry in all of its splendor. It's known as die ‘Wildcat Weview," and it will be presented on Thursday, Feb. 20 at Wakarusa Elementary School. The highly anticipated showcase of students demonstrating a wide range of talents will get underway in the school's gymnasium at 6:30 p.m. There-is no charge for admission. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for an opportunity to secure the best possible seating. The show features singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and thespians on grades one through five. Also appearing at the Wildcat Weview" will be the school's fourth and fifth grade show choir, "Younger Generation,” and they are planning to make a presentation that carries on the school's theme for the 2013-14 school year, "The Power of One." Several students will be working behind the scenes as members of the production crew, including Marshall Beebe on the spotlight and Cole Newswanger at the curtain. Alison Dutkowsi, Nathan Rulli, Nick Jones, and Cameron Birk are members of the backstage crew, while Matthew Yoder, Caitlyn Riegsecker, and Hunter Lechlitner will be greeting visitors at the doors.
