HERS&HEL R. GEYER DIES AT ms HOME IN COLUMBUS. OHIO Funeral services for Hershcel R. Geyer, 59. were held on Wednesday of last week at North Manchester. Death came at his home in £olumbus. Ohio on April 26. Mr. Geyer was a son of John L. and Sarah Kitson Geyer and was bom in 1889 near Gravelton. His parents moved to North Manchester when he was but a boy, and made his home there for many years. MRS. OLIVER BICKEL TO ENTERTAIN MEMBERS OF W. S. C. S. You will enjoy this romantic story. STATE PLANS FOR THE SAFETY CHECK ON AUTOS DURING COMING MONTH James D. Harrison, director of the Indiana Safety Commission, says plans are bing completed for the checking of all automobiles in Indiana, beginning about May 15th and continuing for about six weeks. All cars will be checked for mechanical faults as well as visual faults. It is planned to set up roadside check lanes by state and local police and all cars passing the tests will be given a sticker which reads: “check your car—check accidents.” The six weeks campaign has been timed to go along with a nation-wide check system which will be conducted starting May 15.
