Yoder, lias returned from Dakota and will farm the home place, where he lias located with ills family. The Rev. B. Schumerraier, of Bremen, arrived Monday to assist the Rev. Walmer of this city in a series of meetings at his country appointment. Mrs. Foss Shipley, of Claypool, was the guest of her husband’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Shipley, a few days last week. She returned Monday. Messrs. I. D. Landis and Harry Phend and Misses Lena Slay ter and Mary Parker witnessed the Augustine performance at Argos last Tuesdayevening. Mrs. D. J. Mittering returned to her home in Madison, South Dakota on Monday of this week. She lias been visiting her sister Mrs. A. H. Kaufman. Mrs. IdaTomm, of Goshen, returned to her home Monday after a short visit witli her daughters, Mrs. Ed Oswalt, Mrs. Carrie Webster and Mrs. Harry Burns of this place. Christ Yoder of the Yoder Brothers’ garage left Wednesday morning for lowa to look after some business interests that he lias in that State. He will return in time to assist in the opening of the new garage. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kensinger, former residents of Nappanee, stopped off here Monday on their way home to Cando, N. D. from a trip to Niagara Falls. They will visit relatives here and in this vicinity for several weeks. Bremen Enquirer: Mrs. Homer Holman visited relatives at Nappanee Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. F. A. Huff went to Nappanee today to visit friends a couple of days. —Andrew J. Dumph was here Tuesday from Nappanee where he lias located with his family until he finds a farm to suit him. Meeting of The Town Board. The town board of trustees met in regular session last Monday evening with all the members present. Joyce, who was contined in the Elkhart city jail charged with an attempt to rob Landlord Sherman, of the Bucklen hotel, attempted to escape from prison by cutting a hole through the wall. He took one of the braces from the iron cot and had nearly succeeded in making a hole through the wall when it was discovered by his removal to the county jail, having been bound over to the next term of the circuit court.
