Tili: AKW YORK KIjOI'UHEVT. Scau'IaI In 1 1 1 S h Plarra -Anotlirr Chapter of SvX-tnl Life. Tfte telegraph his alreadj gircn our readers a meagre account of a recent very extraordinary affair in some of the upper circles of New York, in which Mrs. General Eaton's niim$ was involved. The New York Newi has a full acoount cf the mitter. From its columns wc tike the following additional particulars: Those who h.ire ttuJicd with any decree of e ire the previous history of our country, will hire no difhVultj in recalling to their recollection the nime of Mrs. Gen. Eaton. This lady was, in her day, one of the most fascinating women oi Washington; he was active, intelligent, witty, full of life and animation, and was poseed of a very fair share of personal attraction. Br her social graces site commanded the attention of many of the leaders ot fkhion in Washington, and, as a'l narratives inform u, won the special lavor of the gTcat General and President Jackson himself. In short, she was at one time "the bright particular star" of the Ameiican c .piul. From our RrpuWiean court she was transferred to alorn the court of Madrid, lo which place Gen. Eaton was accr?dited Minister. She passed some time both in London and Paris, and well sustained the credit of the American name. After Gen- Eaton's death, LU widow was left Jhe possessor of an independent fortune, well inrested. She l.veu in good styl, and was noted alike for her pood taste, liberality and charity. In course of time h sumed the puardianship of her two grandchildren, ayounp girl and boy, and made ample provisions fr their future life, settlinir upon each of them a sufficient property. Maintirae a young Italian by tha name of B . landed upon ou? shores. He wa, we befieve, of respectable connection in his own country, but was certainly very poor and lor a considerable Fpseeoftime. could procure no employment Forced to be idle, and yet forced to lire, his prospects were very disheartening. But in his ramMes he chanced to meet one of our leading musicians who recommended l.im to adopt the profession of a dancinir master, for which he was apparently well qualified. The Italian acted rpon the friendly hint thu3 given, tnd met an encouraging degree of success. Among his dancing pupil were a boy and pirl the grandson and grand daughter of Mr. Gen. Eaton. B was a mia of oily, insinuating mnners, rather handsome, though n t prepossessing to a judge of physiognomy; betraying in his tout entemble more of the dancing master or barber than of the gentleman but such as ho was, the srandty.ildren referred to, tha boy and tho girl, conceived a decided liking for him, and even went so far as one day to request their grandmother to allow lira to vliit at her house. At first Mrs. Eaton was indignant at the idea of this social innovation; but finally consented. The reit can be rcvlily surmised. Before many mouths had passed it was announced in fashionable circles that tho widow of Gen. Eaton and Bourgncani, the dancing master, were to be married. Now, mark the wor'dly policy of the Italian. Step by step, by means of a determined mind and a smooth tongue, ha contrived to obtain possession of all the property of his wife. He even prevailed npon her to annul her arrangements for the maintenance of her wards (of whom he professed to be the disinterested protect or, father, as it were or, to speak more by the card, grandfather,) and to transfer what was originally designed for their future lives to the use of his prescut needsHe also rose in three months to be the undisputed controller of nearly one hundred thousand djIUrsBourg a nani invested his newly acquired funds in "business" straw or millinery goods or something of the sort and openly "worked hard," but secretly "lived fast." Utterly destitute of the finer Instincts of humanity, but familiar with al! its grosser desires, he set deliberately about ac complishing a deed a black and as mean withal as ever was conceived in the soul of a scoundrel. His adopted granddaughter, the blood relative of his own wife, and one who by her kind word and introduction, had been the original first cause of his good fortune, was a quiet, rather pleasing, naturally open-hearted young girl, easily influenced and warmly attached to the Italian, whose intimate relationship to him gave him every facility to increase this attachment. To the ruin of this young creature the firmer dancing master cooly asd calmly proceeded, step by step, with a caution and a stratagem worthy of a Machivelli. Last week Bourganani proceeded to Washington, where he remained several days. Meantime the yotmg granddaughter was observed to be very restless, and evidently in ill hcalih. Gossip be gin to assert itself. Dame Rumor employed a few of her thousand tongues; but on Monday night last the Italian returned to New York, and all was well. He, his wife and his granddaughter took their aeata at the table d'hote in the fashionable boarding house ia Clinton place, and all appeared io the highest spirit. On Tuesday the granddaughter left the house on the plf a of visiting her sister and returned no more. Tuesday night the poor wife waited for the husband whom she was destined never more to see. Wednesday afternoon there appeared in the papers, arid also in the morning papers of yesterday, a line among the locals announcing the departure for Europe of Mr. and Mrs. A. Bourganani. The next day came a letter from Bourganani informing her (the loving woman to whom he owed his alky owed tho very coat upon his back, and the rery money with which he paid his passage in the steam tr, her who had given up the world and the world's golden god for him) that"i she kept quiet," he having converted all her property into cash and taken it with hirn, would allow her the maenificent allowance of twenty dollars a week. Tha law, we believe, cannot overtake the gnilty pair, but at least the reprobation of society should, alike here and abroad.be directed on the head of the I tali. rtllain, while the heartfelt and most practical ijmpathj of the community, both here and ia Washington, should be bestowed upon his unfortunate but most estimable wife. Iluy Found. Mr. Joseph FetUers, who 1it? on the Gohen and Fort Wajrn road, seren miUj south of Wolf Lake, near C. W. Kin3ej'a, found, about six weeks ago, a light one-home bug; hid about W) roda from the road, in a thick part of the woodj. -Appearances in Jkmted that it had been stolen, as there were eridences that one horse had been fed there, and alao to others, npon the ground. He found to impossible to re more It to his home, before cutting a road . . Publishers of newspapers are requested to insert this notice in their papers. Mr. Fettlers maj be addressed at Merriam, Noble count, Indiana. Lijonur Banner. t .a -" A smooth speech, is often honied poison.

Andrew Johoson, on tho 17th of April, lPCI, three days after the assassination, in addressing the Indiana delegation, uttered the following strong words: "No one can say that, if the perpetrator of this fiendish deed be arrested, he should not undergo the severest penalty the law knows lor crime. A Vit roa Cast Orr Cbixouie. The New buryport lirull says: "In passing the garden of our fricad Marden.of the Amesbury stage, a few days since, we noticed a dozen sets more or less of hoops, reversed from their original position, the small ends tliwn and the large ones supported on stakes, while inside tomatoes are being trained to run up the sides and fall over the outside, which will shortlj cive a very beautiful appearance." . i ii A destructive fire occurred at D title Creek, Michigan, lat Uiursdiy, which dc.-trojed the IUttte Creek House, 211 hordes belonging to Van Amburj-h'a menagerie, and sevir.il shops.
