Mr. D. had only raised it a few days previously and had weatherboarbed [sic] a part of one end the Saturday before. His loss is probably twenty-five dollars: A stable or barn belonging to Dr. Lewis, on the east side of Yellow river was also blown down the same night. We hear that considerable fencing in the track of the storm fared the same fate. ———<>——— Fisko riit It.i.Knt. Voma. He was horribly mangled although the train had not run over him, and must have been killed instantly. A Coroner's jury was impanneled to inquire into the cause of his death, after hearing the testimony and examining his body, , brought in a verdict in accordance with the foregoing. Jones was seen sitting on the edge of the platform, in front of the Exchange, late the night previous, and said to be intoxicated. He probably fell asleep and rolled over on the track where he laid until he was struck by the train. Mr. Potter says he was a splendid workman and a good man, except when intoxicated. It is said that his mother is living in Albion, Michigan. He was, it is supposed, about 35 years of age. Had dark hair, and hazle [sic] eyes and was rather dark complected. ———<>——— SAW MILL BURNED.—We regret to learn that Mr. Wan's Steam Saw Mill, at Tippecanoetown, in this county, was totally destroyed by fire on Thursday night last. We have been unable to ascertain any particulars concerning the fire, whether it was accidental or the work of an incendiary, neither have we been able to learn the amount of Mr. Wan's loss by the conflagration. ———<>——— GflUSasSI or TiJrr..
