U. S. Grant IV, grandson of President Grant, has enlisted as a private in Company H of Jhe Seventh repriment, New York national guard. He is twenty-three years old and was born at San Die?o, Cal. His father is U. S. Grant III, a retired lawyer of that city. The fourth Grant to bear the famous name was graduated from Harvard in 1915, and has been employed in the offices cf J. P. Th court ordered the prisoner free on the grounds that me extradition papers wert not accompanied by an indictment charge and neither were they sworn to before a magistrate.
