MKKTIXi OF I'AIIKXT! (XI' II. The meeting of the Farents' Club of the Wallace school -will be held Friday afternoon at three o'clock. In the kindergarten room on Conkey avenue. It is desired that all the members attend as a very interesting- prosram will be rendered. The propram for the occasion will be as follows: Exercise Room 10 Piano Sola Mrs. Lught Vocal Solo....... Mrs. Sprout Address Itev. Theobald as Easter part v. Mrs. Frank Smith very charmingly

entertained the boys of Room 8 of the Wallace: school at an Easter party yesterday afternoon at her home in Kaucr street. The party was given in honor of her son, Russell who is a member of the class. The hours from four to six were spent very pleasantly with games and music. The boys sans number of their school sonars and Mrs. Smith entertained them with instrumental music. Easter nests in which were hidden Easter eggs for all the boys were found in the basement. After the hunt the guests were served with refreshments. Miss Nixon, the principal of the Wallace school and Miss Gibbons, the teacher of room 8 were among the guests. The following boys were present: Frank Pouch, Bennie Smith, Teter Solaji, Frank Vilchuck, George Walkowski, Joe White, Joe Wintergast, Walter Ahlborn, Fred Brufckmorc, Andie Evans. Paul Holt. Kirk won the prize at cards, a hand-painted plate. A good crowd turned out yesterday to enjoy the "Merry-Go-Round" at the residence of Mrs. Biedinger. Mrs. Zeph Campbell contributed to the program a number of vocal solos which were much enjoyed, as did also Mrs. Elliott, who gave readings as well as vocal solos. Mrs. R. G. Howell is entertaining a former schoolmate, Mrs. Elliott of Ohio. The funeral of "grandma" Stilson one of the oldest settlers of East Chicago, was held from her late residence, 4722 Tod avenue at 10:80 a. m. today. The death was sudden and caused by an acute cold of two days duration. She was past eighty-four years at the time of her death. Grandma lived In the same house twenty-two years, being a widow of a civil war veteran who has been dead thirty years. She was an exceptionally active and bright woman to the day of her death. She was beloved by all who knew Jier and worshiped by the children of the neigh

borhood. All of the time that the body lay In state In therront parlor the house was besieged by children eager to take the last fond look at their old friend. Hers was a busy and useful life and she leaves many grandsons and

(great grandsons to mourn her loss. The
