Cpl. \Ym. Hamstra of Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho, has a 12 day furlough, seven of which he is spending with home folks the other five days are taken up traveling. Master Sgt. Albert Belstra writes, “Dear Editor: 1 was told that you could not publish my new address. Could you then state the fact that I have moved from Texas to California? It would prompt folks to inquire for my new address. I receive quite a lot of mail that is still addressed to Camp Hulen. i never get it until a couple of weeks have lapsed. 1 can't very well write to all who may wish to write to me, much as i d like to. It would simplify matters a lot if you would grant above favor. Thanking you for keeping the K. V. P. coming, 1 am, sincerely yours, Sgt. Bel stra." Walter Running arrived in DeMotte Sunday. after receiving his honorable discharge. He is over the age limit and w r as stationed at t amp Devens, Mass. Dale M. Raska, P.F.C., of Camp Stewart, Ga., sends the following letter, written June Ist. “Dear Editor: I have been receiving our home town paper and 1 sure do appreciate you sending it to me. I read every page of it, and I'm always waiting for the next edition. The fellows in my barracks are always arguing who gets it next, so you can see you're doing O. K. back home. Also, I have a slight change in my address. So thanks a lot, and I'll do my part to help keep us all free. I like the army fine." Dale's address and any others the K. Y. P. have may Im* had, just for the asking. Pvt. Paul Sekema of Hendricks Field. Fla., is home on furlough. Corp. Lloyd Carter is now stationed at Daniel Field, Aui 7 gusta, Ga. | ■ A telegram received from the War Department by Mr. and Mrs. Francis Lakin last Wednesday told them of the death of their son. Alfred Arthur Lakin, at a military base in the Southwest Pacific. The Lukins live three miles east of Fair Oaks. Alfred attended Fair Oaks high school and will be remembered by many people here as an outstanding player on the Fair Oaks basketball team. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sigler have received word that their son. Pvt. John Oliver, has reached an overseas destination. Pfc. Kenneth “Red" Yeagley. son of Ward Yeagley, is now somewhere overseas. Bruce Todd graduated from officers training school at Ft. Knox. Ky. last Saturday and is now a Second Lieutenant.
