It was a nice surprise. It was a cool, cloudy'day as we ran through a beautiful forest, with blue lines delineating the track." This was Lind's first visit to the U.S. "I was very impressed with Games' overall organization and the friendly volunteers. The athletes, in all the sports, seemed very proud and serious. Continued from page 4 Gush Etzion seeking help Last week. Jay Greenwald, consultant to the mayor of Gush Etzion, Israel, gave a briefing at the home of Hart and Simona Hasten about the situation in Israel. The 40 people in attendance heard Greenwald describe what it was like to witness the shooting in the tunnel road connecting Gush Etzion and Jerusalem. "I was three cars behind Sarah Blaustein and the other woman when she was murdered," he said. Other horror stories included the reading of the letter by Kobi Mandel's brother reflecting on the death of his brother. Leaving the event, one attendee apologized for "leaving tears behind on the couch." Greenwald is visiting the U.S. to raise money for an emergency humanitarian campaign to help the residents of Gush Etzion. Indianapolis residents have been very generous in supporting this cause. For those who were not able to attend the event, but still want to donate funds, please e-mail Josh Hasten at [email protected]

In addition to cross country running, I plan on competing in the pull ups and bench press, which I believe I can win."
