Rabbi Bradd Boxman and Cantor Janice Roger officiated at the wedding of Tracy Diane Chalfin and Richar Brad Gonon on Dec. 20,1987, at the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation. The noon chuppa ceremony was followed with a reception at the Olde Mill Qubhouse. Tracy Diane is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Myron Chalfin and she is the granddaughter of Mrs. Rebecca Burson, Memphis, Tenn. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Gonon, Forest Hills, N.Y. He is the grandson of Mrs. Esther Fink, Forest Hills, N.Y. Matron of honor was Gigi Marks, Indianapolis. Flower girls were Rachel Marks, Indianapolis and Amanda Fink, Forest Hills, N.Y. The role of best man was filled by Benton Marks. The bride earned her B.B. A at the University of Texas, at Austin and received her M.B. A at the same school. She held various positions in busiin journalism and political science from the University of Rhode island. He earned ms.
law degree from La Verne University in Los Angeles. He is a member of the Indiana Bar Association and practicing in Indianpolis. He moved to Indianapolis in 1984 to estab-
lish his law practice.
The bridal gown was of ivory organza over tafetta, embroidered with alencon lace. The color motif was fuchsia and gray. The bridesmaids' gowns were of fuchsia chiffon, accented by large beaded bows at the shoulder. Rose Nahmias, 91, leaves 5 sons Rose (Cohen) Nahmias died Friday, Dec. 18 in Hooverwood Nursing Home at the age of 91. Born in Monastier, Turkey, she had resided in Indianapolis since 1913. She was twice a widow — Abraham D. Cohen and Sam Nahmias. Services were Sunday at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Meridian Hills Mortuary. Mrs. Nahmias was a member of Etz Chaim Congregation, the Deborah Sisterhood and the Golden Age Qub. Survivors include five sons: Hymen Cohen, Julius Cohen and Dr. Irving Cohen, all of Indianapolis; Michael Cohen of Los Angeles and Murray Cohen of Tarzana, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
$3.2 M collected in ‘87 campaign Nadler said the recent Big Gifts Dinner had a different ington freedom rally. The speaker was former refusenik Vladimir Slepak — and the emphasis was more on his message of continuing to press for liberty for the remaining refuseniks than on the gifts to the campaign. About 160 people attended the event.

A lingering illness proved fatal Saturday to Joe Tobak at the age of 84. He arrived in the city from Poland in 1921 and was a barber at first on South Meridian Street. Later from 1938 to retirement in 1970 he operated Joe’s Package Liquor Store on Northwestern Ave. Rabbi Avraham Grossbaum conducted funeral services Monday at Aaron - RubenNclson Meridian Hills Mor-
tuary, with burial in B’nai Torah Cemetery. B’nai Torah Congregation awarded him its Member of the Year citation in 1979. He had served as a trustee of the congregation. He was the widower of Rose Banish Tobak. Survivors are his daughter, Mrs. Ben (Eunice) Weiss, three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Ida Alpert, 95, lived here 37 years
Ida Larman Alpert, 95, died Monday, Dec. 14. Graveside services were the following Thursday in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Chicago, under arrangements handled by Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Meridian Hills Mortuary. Lori Ochstein to wed Bruce Fogelson Mr. and Mrs. Norman Ochstein announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Ann Ochstein to Bruce Fogelson, Chicago. He is the son of Gerald W.
