OBITUARIES

Louis Goldsmith Funeral services were held at the B’nai Torah Cemetery for Louis Goldsmith, 65, of 1022 S. Union, who died Saturday, Oct 20, at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Born in Poland, Goldsmith had lived in Indianapolis most of his life. He was in the medical corps during World War I and had worked, in his younger days, as a jockey. He was a member of the B’nai Torah Congregation Survivors are his brothers, Max, Samuel and Abe Goldsmith and a sister Mrs. Anna Gervitz, ali of Indianapolis.

Lernen Held In Honor of Siegmund Marx Mrs. Bertha Marx and her sons, Julius and Ernest, held their 16th annual Hoshanoh Robboh Lernen and yahrzeit in memory of Siegmund Marx, husband of Mrs. Marx, who died at Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. The Lernen (study of the torah) was led'by Rabbi Nandor Fruchter of Cong. B’nai Torah. Among

the participants in the service from (1. to r.) were Bothved Breisacher, Leonard Weiss, Max Paul, Werner Loeb, Mike Leventhal, Joseph Sassoon, Rabbi Fruchter, Julius Marx, Rabbi Elpharim Bennett, Ernest Marx, Rabbi Sidney Steiman, Walter Breisacher, Robert Bohard, Cantor Y. Jade, Walter Goldman, Louis Fran and Arnold Kaufman.

Ruth Lurvey Ruth A. Lurvey, 62, 414 W. 63rd, was buried in the Indianapolis Hebrew Cemetery after she died at the Methodist Hospital, Friday, Oct. 19. A life-long resident of Indianapolis, she was a member of th? Council of Jewish Women, Hadassah, B’nai Torah B’rith, Multiple Sclerosis Charity Fund, which she helped establish. • Louis Reisberg Louis Reisberg, 62, died Sunday, Oct. 14, in his home at 4921 Broadway. Funeral Services were held at the Aaron Ruben Funeral Home and the burial was at the Ezras Achaim Cemetery. Born in Warsaw, Poland, Reisberg lived here for 58 years. He was a member of Ezras Achaim Congregation, the Jewish Men’s Club and the American Legion He was a World War I veteran. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Tania Resiberg; a son, Dr Irwin Resiberg of Akron, O., a sister, Mrs. Mary Solomon of Indianapolis; and two brothers. Vic Reisberg of Galveston, Ter., and Rube Reisberg of Indianapolis.

Hilfel Holds "Prayer" Discussion Oct. 28 “Prayer in Pbulic Schools” will be the topic of a faculty studem roundtable at 6:15 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Hillel Foundation, State and Waldron Sts., 'West Lafayette. Participants will present their reaction to the Supreme Court decision and discuss its implications. Panelists are Richard Pierce, University editor; Prof. LawrProf. Darrel Abel, English; Prof. Kenneth Kofmehl, Political Science; Albert Giambalvo, Senior EE; Geoffrey Newman, Senior IM; Thomas Gorry, graduate, Experimental Psychology; Marvin Christopherson, graduate, Speech. Moderator will be Prof. Calvin Schrag, Philosophy. Panelists have been chosen to reflect a variety of religious backgrounds including. Catholic, Protestant, Jewteh and Humanist. All students are invited to attend. The discussion wfl be preceded by a delicatessen dinner at 5:30 p.m.
