LINK FIREBUG WITHBIG RING De La Tour Identified by Columbus Police. Columbus, Ohio, police have identified Maurice De La Tour, confessed firebug, who set fire to three Catholic churches here last week, as one of two men who burned and robbed seven Catholic churches there a year ago, according to information received by Claude M. Worley, detective chief. De La- Tour was identified from a photograph sent to Columbus by Worley. He was associated with Roy Marsten, now under arrest at Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Columbus police said. De La Tour’s photograph will be sent Marsten for identification, Worley said. J. D. Pridwea, Douglas, Ga., prison camp warden, wrote Worley regarding De La Tour’s record there. He was a model prisoner until his escape fourteen months before the end of his sentence, Pridwea said. Worley announced that efforts will be made to have De La Tour convicted on an habitual criminal charge, which carries a life sentence. The grand jury will investigate at its July session. Pridwea is willing to have De La Tour remain here for sentence, Worley said.
