Mother, 17, Gets Life For Killing One of Her Twins ATLANTA. Ga. (ANP) — A 17-year-old unmarried mother who killed one of her three-morth-old twins, was sentenced to life imprisonment here last

week*

Mrs. Carrie Norman entered a guilty plea to smothering and burning one of her twins here last month because she was poverty-stricken and felt that she could not provide for

them.

The young mother was arrested after police found the baby’s partially decomposed body hidden under a floor board in her bedroom. Mrs. Norman had reported earlier to police that the baby had been kidnapped. Police doubted the story, and after questioning the young woman’s blind grandmother, who said she had not detected any strangers in the room where the two babies lay with her, quizzed Mrs. Norman again and learned that she had committed the murder. Without show of emotion she pointed to the loose floor boards.
