No insistent claims have been made, as far as has been discovered that the masses of Negroes in this state ever received more titan casual attention from Hoosier congressmen with the exception of
Mr. Ludlow.
It is doubtful whether colored voters will be content to listen to
qualified to do high grade work in
various fields.
Colored voters outside of Marion county are bitterly resentful at the official snub said to have been given them in awarding the lions share of patronage to residents of
Marion county.
Again, colored leaders in various communities of the state have repeatedly expressed chagrin at the slap at the dignity of their position by state dfficials, throughout the state’s history.
