The crowd last Friday night was the largest that has attended the tent meetings being conducted at Warder park by Rev. Ralph Rader. Aleeting was scheduled to begin at 7:30; by 7:00 seats were taken. One hundred extra chairs were placed outside of the tent, but these were soon filled and several hundred people were standing. The colored churches of this city, Invited to give a program of Spirituals with Rev Tolbert, in charge Rev. Logau, Louisville, came over with the famous Gospel chorus and gave several spirituals. In opinion of many present, this was one of the best Aluvical programs ever given here. The solo sung by Mr. Brown, especially made a big hit and he has been asked to sing at a Alusical revue to be given Saturday night. Air. Rader spoke on ihe “Palm ‘Tree Blessing,” Upon the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jefusalem thfe people waved palm branches,” the evangelist said ’ The palm tree is called the prince of the vegetable kingdom.
