Ernest Wade of the Plutos, French Lick, who underwent a serious operation as a result of an accident in a base ball game against the A B Cs, is slowly recovering at the Charity Hospital. The Aeolian chorus rendered music at uhe communion service at Bethel church last Sunday, after which they were entertained at luncheon by Dr. and Mrs. T. A. The Marion track and field team will bring to the city next Thursday some of the best athletes to compete in the Championship Athlete Carnival which takes place at Northwestern ball park under the auspices of the Planner Guild. The “Marion” will enter stars in the dashes and weights and will probably have a relay team. Benj. H. Weaver, captain of the Marions, says that they hope to make it interesting for the capitol city teanjs and that they will take home with them several medals. They have their eyes on the Indianapolis Recorder all around championship medal. Some of the residents of Marion are expected to accompany the team to meet and root their favorites to vie tory. Homer Bass, Floyd Newsome, Leroy Williams and Benj H. Weavei are among the members of the team.
