A Bright Street^ Pageant, with Notea of fTar and Bannovs. The Union Tobacco Works of Louisville, Ky., fairly divided public interest with the circui parade yesterday by a magnificent pageant which they put upon our streets, and they surpassed the circus by a second appearance in the afternoon, which attracted even wider notice and comment The pageant consisted of a large van, drawn by magnificent horses, decked out in flaming draperies, on which the names of “Bugle” and “Best We Got” appeared in beautiful colon, in front of which was a magnificent carriage, draped in tame, and on the seat an old “veteran,” who sounded “reveille," “boots and saddles,” and a full list of cavalry bugle calls. In this carriage sat Ur. George F. Schmidt with Ur. Pius Long and Mr. S. W. San borne, who ia the manager of the outside interests of this gMatKentucky tobacco house. The display was one of the most striking la its wav of*r seen on our streets and attracted all classes. The scar-worn vetemm of the war were summoned by the famjfiai bugle calls so vivid to memory. The interest was in no way lessened because of U>« object to bring the two favorite brands of tobacco into notice, but rather increased by the implication that the article which could afford such extraordinary means for bringing it to public notice must have corresponding merit to back U, and we will, tnereicre, give it a trial.

LACK OF LIFE.
When the pulse beats feebly; when the energy is gone; when the appetite is weak and sleep uncertain, then the body is in a condition of actual “low life.” No matter what the causes may have been Nature has given way and unless her strength Is restored disease Is certain to take possession of the body. The first thing any doctor does in snch a case is to assist
Nature. Here are some instances:
