During the day Postmaster Holloway, Mr. Alexander, chief of the poetal railway service, Hqn David Macy, Hon. John 8. Newman, and others appeared before the commission and gave testimony to the affect that the re-establishment of tbs fast mail trains is very desirable, benefitting business men and the public generally. The commission make their report to congress at ths next session, and upon their recommendation will denend largely the future course to be pursued In this Important matter of mail transit.
