Owners of the Tom Corners, have given the Highway Commission sufficient land to make long sweeping curves oni ] nc rach corner. The commission will ), ]:*< north and south roadway, to the! level of the National road: widen the pavements; build sweeping curved roadways to connect the highways on each corner; and grade down the corners so that the motorists will be! able to have a clear vision of the loads for a long distance each way. The corner will be 400 feet across when the improvement is completed, and virtually all of the hazards, which have resulted in many accidents at the dossing, will be eliminat ed. At the same time the owners of j the Four Corners have started the de- j velopment cl their property by the erection of new buildings and other | improvements which will make the "Four Corners” one of the most at- i tractive highway intersections in the i
state.

Miss Jean Trumbull, sister of the bride, will be maid of honor. The bridesmaids will be Esther Trumbull and Dorothy Clark, cousins of the bride, Virginia Rogers and Mrs. Philip Morehouse. The ushers will be Pierce Clark, Richard Brown, John Hillis and Philip Morehouse. Stephen Brown, of Northampton, will lie best man. He was a class mate of young Coolidge at Amherst. The Trumbulls arranged foe a plane to meet E. G. Stevens, in charge of the governors camp in Maine, in Boston so that he would he able to arrive here in time for the wedding.
Mr. McCammack was driving when the accident occurred. The car hit a large rock and was badly damaged. None of the other occupants of the car were injured. The driver of the other car did not stop. The child was brought to the office of Dr. A. E. Ayler here foi medical attention.
MARRIAGE LICENSE
Charges of intoxication and driving while intoxicated, against Merle Myers, of Bloomington, were dismissed in the Putnam Circuit court today when the case was called for trial. The case was dropped by the state when the chief prosecuting witness, B. F. Miller, of Terre Haute, said he could not swear that Myers was drunk the night of July 6, when the new Ford car Myers was driving, collided with a truck driven by Miller. Numerous other witnesses also were ready to take the stand anl swear that Myers was not drunk, it was said. The accident occurred on the Nation Road, it was said, when Myers*

TAX RATE FIXED AT 29 CENTS INDIANAPOLIS. Ind., Sept 23 — Fixation of Indiana’s tax rate for next year at 29 cents, an Increase of 6 cents over this year, was accompanied here today hy an attack by Governor Harry O. Leslie upon the ’false economy" of the administration of his predecessor, Governor Ed. Jackson. “I’m the goat for the false economy of the last administration," said Governor Leslie as he signed a paper designating the rate after a conference with members of the State tax board and State Auditor Archie Bobbitt.
