We believe it is the design of the Young Men s Christian Association to give a series of entertainments in a short time for the purpose of raising money for the benefit of the poor in the city this winter. This is an object that will commend itself to all our citizens. Home talent shonld be employed in these entertainments, and will be found fully as attractive as the itinerant lecturers who travel up and down the country each winter, hugging big piles of money. By this means we can keep the money at home for the use of the [M»or, or to assist in furnishing a library.
