There was ahont S lest 7 inches in the ranal. with nroanect of its stavinir there until Cincinnati boats wear it cat running through it. Of course there wss v ry little business done. 1 ne w earner was Indeed delightful. The St. Charles, of the People's Line, aod tte United Alates.of the Mail Line, had a little "til:" at each other yesterday. The Saint watted awhile lor tne Slates, ana tne states waiiea igrine cairn., but it teemed "one was afraid and the other darsent" start out. She fairly ripped the river open as fur as Jvnersonvllle, a litre she land ed for something. The Si'n didn't land, but went on, and the two boats "jawed' at each other with their whistles until they got tired. Tbe Saint turned loose and took alter the States in floe style. The last ws saw of them they were running like scared greyhounds, the faint creep inac ussn her at a lively rate. Ge It, faint.
